edit:
u can t be serious with e8500 :D:D:D:D:D for that cpu atleast a 8800 gt or gts
E8500 is overpriced.
And get a 4850 or something. The 8600GT sucks
HD4850
4gb
Corsair HX 650W
random 40€ case
sound card for 110€ wtf?
AND WTF WITH PRICES?
E8500 is like 165€
use the 'saved' money to buy nvidia 8800gts instead of 8600.. its not even expensive atm. (ati hd4870 recommended)
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500, prosessori alinhinta :149€ keskihinta :167 €
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, prosessori alinhinta :137€ keskihinta :154 €
core2duo E8400 ~150€ = 159€ savings :-D
and just OC teh e8400 to 4Ghz or something and you got powerful nice set =) (you could ofc spend like 50€ for more cooling)
And don't buy that soundcard pls

150 euros
???
- Intel Core 2 Duo E8200
- 2GB Ram BRANDED
- Nvidia GeForce 260 GTX / 280 GTX
- OCZ stealthXstream 600W powersupply - 65e
- Recom Zenith Cooling Case - 89e
Scrap the e8500 for an e8200, and also scrap the Sound card. With the spare money, get a Nvidia 260 GTX or a 280 GTX. Think about it, will you get better gaming performance with an E8500 + 8600 GT + 4GB RAM (64bit gtfo) or E8200 + 280 GTX + 2GB RAM?
EDIT: That PSU is fine for a 280 GTX, however you will need an adapter for 2 PCI-E cables, which should come with the graphics card. (The PSU only has 1). Also note, the E8200 can be overclocked to 3.2GHz with the stock cooler and still achieve recommended temperatures.
Wherever you are buying this from, you are getting seriously ripped off. An e8500 for £245? :D
Basically, for your setup look for a motherboard which supports
- LGA 775 for Core™ 2 Duo (all core 2 duos are Socket LGA 775)
- Compatible with FSB1333 (speed bewtween CPU and Motherboard)
- PCI-E x16 slot (This is for the graphics card)
- Supports DDR2 800/667/533 (memory speed)
- ATX form (basically the physical size of the motherboard)
Intel core 2 Duo E8400
That motherboard from the link u gave me or a similiar one
Ati radeon HD4870
the powersupply + some fans
the case
and my dvd readers / hdd,s etc is enough for a whole PC ?
Please check my edit for the previous post. The motherboard I suggested only supports memory with speed or 667 max. Get one which supports 800.
CPU : Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8400 € 149,-
Mainboard : Asus P5QL PRO € 79,-
Memory :GeiL 2 GB DDR2-800 Kit € 39,-
Graphics : Sapphire HD4850 € 149,-
Power supply : Cooler Master ExtremePower 460W € 49,-
Total: € 465,-
haven't tried COD4 since i dont play it, but it handeled crysis on everything high so dont think it will have trouble with cod4
and also, dont buy 4GB of ram if your not a 64bits user.
buying a good set of 2GB will get you almost the same performance and save you money
also dont buy a soundcard.
intel core2duo e8400
4gb OCZ ram
ATI 4870
680W BFG PSU
790euros
8600GT => HD4850 (AMD > nVidia atm)
Soundcard is useless.
