Uefa should finally do smth with it, they get some money from tv and stuff and are able to spend 50x more, thats stupid :/

And I smell some task forcing.

Spanish, English and Italian teams spend even more money on transfers, what's wrong with that?
Spanish, English and Italian get their money from selling players, selling tv laws, tickets and all other stuff, you think Russian club is able to get that big money as western teams do? They just need one billioner who doesnt care about one billion dollars. I dont like it, maybe you dont care but for me its frustrating

The top4 in England all have investors behind them and the same goes for the good italian teams.
And the spanish teams are all literally broken and wouldnt be allowed to attend most others leagues.
Parent
Nope.
Too lazy to search for it.

did barcellona buy anyone this year?

they sold ronaldinho deco zambrotta and also dos santos...
Parent
They bought Daniel Alves, Seydou Keita, Alexander Hleb and some other naablets.
Parent
yes they bought !!!
Parent
Arsenal doesn't really, they actually make more money than they spend on transfers.
Parent
Actually Zenit Sankt Petersburg is owned by Gazprom, so it's not just a one person that does not care about spending some money. It's not really possible to build up a world class team without spending a lot of money... It's just business, you know, and why Russian teams can't do it, if Italian, Spanish and English teams can? :)
Parent
You call that business? buing guy from Dynamo Moscow for 30 mln E?
Parent
Real madrid offered 45m for david villa , is that business?
Parent
yes it is, theres some difference beetwen Danny in Zenit and Villa in Real.
Parent
Yeah Villa wouldn't go to Zenit I guess, not only because of money, but also because it's not as famous as Real. They have to start from somewhere to bring Zenit to the level of Real, but if they're capable of spending 30 mln, then why not? It will somehow pay off in the future I guess.
Parent
yes it is business duh

they will sell thousands of gears and equipment to fans thanks to this 30million guy

the same goes for AC Milan this year... they have 3 world football champiions and they are gonna get a lot of money from that...

Yes, buying and selling players to build a better team is indeed some kind of business. If the team can play in Uefa Cup or Champions League on a decent level, the owner (or sponsor) thinks that it's worth to invest some more money in the club to keep its performance or even boost it. In CL the team does earn a lot of money just by qualifying to it, drawing or winning the match etc. Besides that, if the team is able to play with the strongest european teams it becomes more recognizable, so it's an excellent advertisement for the owner or sponsor. So basically it's about making more and more money.

myabe the president is some1 like abramovich?

even tottenham bought players which they didnt have enough money from the ones they sold.... and tottenham dont get much money from tv like the other clubs....
Parent
i think he is just a brother of smokilosovich
Parent
why the hell you compare club from EPL to Zenit? every EPL gets 50 million pounts on start of each season + sponsors + tickets, you think in russia too?
Parent
