xfire.?

Does Crossfire (xfire.be) and Xfire (xfire.com) have/had anything in common? Because I remember a pretty long time ago my name on this forum was fexgamer, the same as my name was on xfire (the software). And on xfire I took fexgamer because Fex was already a taken name. But when I wanted to rename to Fex on this forum it was possible and it was no taken name. Snappy?

Afaik it doesn't have anything to do with eachother but maybe in the past it was else ..
Please clear things up for me
