mx518 drivers question

Hello Crossfire,

I just got back from the PC store with a brand new MX518! :-)
I just reinstalled the Razer driver (HABU mouse) and I'm about to plug in the MX518 so my question is, do you think I should install the driver from the CD I got with the mouse or to download a new driver and install it?

EDIT: the driver at the CD I got with the mouse is SetPoint 4.24a

Parent
yes plug and play ownZ
Parent
yeah, you can even use different dpi modes with the + - buttons.
Parent
so why not installing the driver from the CD? the original one?
Parent
why would you? only more processes on your computer running.
Parent
if it works - don't use the drivers. if it does not work - get them from the internet.
never used the drivers :/
Don't install the drivers
download new setpoint 4.6

btw, for all those who said "don't install the drivers", why? I mean, I used the mouse with and without the drivers and I find it's usability better with the drivers
Lol why the hell would you reinstall habu drivers if you have MX518? They are different equipments.
I installed the drivers.

Just because my MX518 was being retarded and not giving me 1600dpi, stupied piece of trash.
MX518 know everything ! U r gay !

Parent

Parent

Parent
It's not necessary, but you can install them. I play about the same with as without
Parent

Don't use 4.24a, use 4.00, that works fine. Also after you finished with setting up the mouse, run urtiers accelfix.exe to check everything fine...
Download them and install them unless you dont have 50 MB free on your hardisk..
the driver will help you configture your mouse.. so why not..

you always can disable it so no problems..
actually my mx518 didnt work until I installed teh drivers from CD.. I had G5 before this long time (and it still works =) ) and I dont have any probs with drivers.. just set it to use system instead of setpoint :P
Plug it in, follow the instructions of Microsoft & paly!
Install drivers, otherwise u can't reach 400 dpi, only 450 with the [+] [-] buttons :>
he was playing with 2000 dpi with his habu, dont bother explaining

^_____^

after so many years ppl still don't know about it =(
Parent
For how much did you buy the mouse?
i did install setpoint
i don't use drivers for my mx518 :X
Be careful you make the correct choice, this decision will COMPLETELY affect your aim and will determine 100% whether you are retarded or godlike in ET. Be warned.
U suck anyway ;p
As long as you make sure windows gets its inputs at a rate of 500hz minimum the windows drivers are fine..
just plug&play
Long time no see, wasup m8?
