Webspace :D

Hi y'all!

Am looking to buy some webspace, around 5/10GB for me to upload music for my cousin in Australia.

How much would you expect to pay for this size and a decent speed for downloading and the best place to buy.

what google says is of no importance. i asked if you knew a free and good/reliable hosting. any free hosting provider will say that they're good.. obviously. the fact is that free hosts suck, web servers cost a lot, not to talk about bandwith.. people can "offer" a free host with many features, but they can't give it to you, and that makes them unreliable

at least try it.. they seem ok..

I know some stuff wont work really good if they are free, but a lot of free programs/sites are just as good as payed stuff

just share a gmail account with him and mail all the songs to that gmail :D

even easier - GmailFS. just drag all the mp3s into Gmail drive and he'll get it in the email (or download via Gmail drive as well if he shares the account), no need to mail each song separately

create a torrent or run an ftp (or http) server on your local machine

you say that you don't want to leave your computer on overnight, but whats the difference between uploading 10gb via torrent and uploading 10gb via ftp? it's still going to take a fucking long time on a uk connection

I wont be uploading 10GB straight away,

I will upload bout 50mb here and there.... Once hes got them, i can delete em...

FTP server would be ok.. where u get one from?

ftp from your PC requires rather quick Upload right? since he downloads directly from your PC?
