External HD problem

Hi

I got a external "Maxtor Basics" HD and I want to copy some music onto it, but it keeps on telling me that the file or the directory is broken and couldn't be read. If i want to copy something FROM the ext. HD everything works fine.

Anything I can do about it? I rebooted my pc and the HD and don't know what else I could do.

u have to reset ur ext HD

But it isn't a possibility since I don't got the free space to save the data. :<

delet some stuff off pc, stick the stuff u want on pc, format hdd, reput info on hdd
