using visa electron abroad

yeah so i really need to know is it possible to use a visa electron card abroad to pay/take out cash from ATMs. We are going to Greece and as none of us has a credit card, its vital we know that if our electrons will be usable. So need to know if Finnish bank cards can work in Greece.

yeah but a VISA is a credit card. Visa electron is a bank card that takes the payment directly from your account.

I dont have credit on my "VISA"-card, and it worked very well in other countrys, , My card also take directly from the account the VISA is on.

Just ask your bank this is not a question for us.. lol.
Parent

Crossfire - A banking support community.
If you have a "Link" logo at the back of your card you can
I dont have it but ive used now this summer when i was in asia without no problem.
Parent
what were you doing in asia roffel
Parent
Yes it works, but everytime you take money from a atm it charges 1e +0,75%
(sampo, not sure about others)
ofcourse they do, like for example greek ones work in holland (tested with VISA alone, not with your stuff, but i guess you wont have any problems)

btw where are you heading?

btw2: asked my dad who just got home, hes a bank employee, he says all atms are visa electron compatible, and he has one like yours too, so you wont have any problem.
are there like specific VISA-automats?
Parent
there are automats for all kinds of cards (some are compatible with a bigger number of cards than some automats) , so i guess jezix can find an automat which is compatible with his card
Parent
