after a long while i decided to reinstall ET.. and i kept my old cfg aside if this day might come. i can run the game with no problems but once I exec my cfg in the console the game crashes! any idea what this might be?

Remove "quit" from your config. PROBLEM SOLVED.

update pb then restart pc then update pb again then remove cg_gun_frame 0 from your config then connect to a pb server then get kicked for 20006 error then update pb again then restart pc again then connect again then play without problems
oh and btw you might wanna save your etkey file to keep your old pbguid
