how to make my pc faster without buying new hardware ?

tweak the shit out of xp services, or just install xp using tinyxp
overclock (depends on your cooling/airflow etc)
explain pls :) didnt rly get what u tried to tell me :p
and google for a good site about windows services. First time you prolly kill your dns or windows sound, just find a decent site which tells you what each service does.

They only have the very important stuff to just run the system...
No useless tools, games, processes, services,...
Most of them run with like 10 processes instead of 30+ after a fresh install...
Had constant fps of 300+ on all parts of supply with my shitmashine until i had to format... ^^
but i can still install every shit i want on my pc right ?
like moviemaking progs...dj staff....other games....etcetc
Guess i don't have to mention, that none of those are official XP versions and not that...uhm...legal..^^
There are few other version made by e.g. a professional counterstrike-gamer and also one from some system-admin nerd who tweaked the shit out of xp... but dunno their names now...
Or download nLite... with this tool you can build your own gaming-xp since you can deceide, what should be included into the install and what not...
However i'd suggest you to run this xp on another partition of your hdd. They are optimized to the bone and when you install something like dj-tools or shit it could cause problems due to missing system files (e.g. which arent needed by any games).... and atleast the system will slow down a bit...
