without question, album of the year 2008. only slightly spoiled by elvis costello's cold-like snuffling on 'carpetbaggers', this is far removed from her debut solo effort, 2006's rabbit fur coat.

described as "timeless", the album features contributions from Jason Boesel, Elvis Costello, Zooey Deschanel, Leslie Lewis, Johnathan Rice and M. Ward to create what can only be entitled alternative folk heaven.
