Journals
hi everybody,
yes another journal about this issue. I am finally going to buy after 5 long years new PC (PC tips journal incoming) and I want to try for first time LCD monitor. I have searched Crossfire for that and many people was talking about Samsung SM. So I have done research and my limit for LCD is 200E (5000,- CZE). First question is whether 19" or 22". I am using Hyundai ImageQuest 17" CRT atm. So I dont know if 19" isnt too big. But LCD mainstream atm is 22" imo. Btw DVI is better than D-Sub for quality right?
19":
Samsung SyncMaster 953BW - LCD 19" (only 2ms LCD and very cheap 144E - 3600,- CZE)
22":
Samsung 22" SM 2253LW (looks very good, but many people on HW forums whining about noise from that monitor - whistling)
ASUS 22" VW222U (expensive 228E, somebody says that its little fuzzy)
Overall I am afraid of buying LCD because there are so many problems in HW forums with them mainly for each model :( But its not that bad imo so if you can help me I will be happy thx a lot. Samsung seems to be good, cheaper but which model is best for gaming/casting ;)

+ its good for your eyes

2.crt>lcd
is
LCD
22"
good bye :d
I never game on the LCD, I don't even play starcraft on it, LCD is just that shit. Go CRT if you can, otherwise get a 2ms LCD, but you will hate it.
looks nice, maybe a little expensive, but nice quality
I have a 19" Samsung 931C, it's gross! But I'm planning to get a 24" 2nd lcd because of FullHD (Samsung 245B Plus or Samsung 2493HM)
CF <3
I can't even think about: how to play on 22" wide.
Imo best for gaming: 19"(not wide!) + response 2 or max5 ms + horizontal and vertical viewing angles close to 180 (not important for the present user but ppl standing around) + contrast ratio higher than 500:1
Refresh rate is not so important in lcd imo because I am better playin on 60hz(digital) than 85hz(analog) connection.. (SM 171p)
..maybe there is better digital hz then yes
22" wide - imo for office, videos, everything but not for gaming..
But of course most important thing is that LCD will be good for your eyes !
(u have now next argument to think about :)
Main difference between a 19"and a 22" is ofcourse that the 22" is a widescreen and the first one u noticed (the 19") aint a widescreen.
the lowest RTC mistakes level - no ghosting and shit
good responce time
dude, take it, it's rly one of the best 22'' fast screens availiable on market atm
