hey i m trying to connect my ps3 to the internet. Our internet works with a acces list, i m already added so thats not the problem :P but i need to fill in my IP addres, subnet mask, default router, primary and secondary DNS.
Ip addres is no problem, same for the subnet mask. But wath should i fill by default router? And by primary and secondary since cmd -> ipconfig/all only displays 1 dns number..

only have pc
but its expensive :(
i believe a different forum will do better mate :~>
i dont have ps3
but prolly a ps3 forum xDDD
type
ipconfig /all
it will list your default gateway/routers IP this will also be your DNS as it will have an internet DNS server IP in the router. If your router is setup to use DHCP it should have already issued the ps3 an IP and all the rest would have been automatic.
but at my parents it worked fine, i searched inet, found it, pw, tadaa inet. But here stupid acces list :< and got to fill in all the numbers myself...
i.e ending in .1 or .254
unless of course they have used a variable length subnet mask but lets not go into that shizzle :P
add exitspree
Settings -> Network Settings (Do These Settings)
Internet Connection: Enabled
Internet Connection Settings: Current Setting: Wireless Connection
Media Server Connection: Enabled
Then switch off your ps3 and reboot your router :) / When you run the "Internet Connection Settings" it will ask if you want to automatically detect the internet connection on a wireless network.
If this doesnt work i will try find the manual settings to do it by checking the IP's etc.
only can do the manual the auto doesnt work
