Just for the fun of it (and to see what it looks like and sounds like when i play) i recorded a little bit of me playing guitar.
Even more for the fun of it (flame = fun!) i decided to put it on crossfire. And even more for the fun of it, i ask other guitarists of crossfire to do the same!
Yeah, lots of mistakes in there but keep in mind it's just a random record and I didn't plan a single note before i hit record.
enjoy!
Flame on.

i'm not good though ^^
That muse song was kinda cool ;)
i can't improvise, I'm just downloading tabs and learning songs by heart... should play more often
Just playing randomly is a lot of fun.. Just forgetting everything else (e.g. the book that the camera is on, Discrete Mathematics :X) and having fun with the guitar.. Owns!
you got some stuff outta alrhic there i didnt know :D
nice guitar play there :D
ES335 = win
I'd put them up if I had a working webcam or something
I played piano since i was 7, but i quit when i was ~16 and started playing guitar instead... Really regret that i quit the piano now, but i'm happy i started playing guitar!
You wouldn't happen to know Clementis sonatine(i think)?
edit: played this one as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDvcGnTvcsI , maybe you know it ;p
About the youtube link, i haven't heard that one.. My piano teacher was the classical lover, not me (although I do enjoy classical piano every now and then) :P
That kid is gonna be great in a few years though!
Used to play all sorts of instruments x)

The camera mic doesn't at all capture its true coolness though :'(

;D
Or are you just messing around?
Yeah I can figure out what keys and stuff I was playing and I'm sure some of it has a name, but in general I tend not to pay much attention to that. Ear ftw :D
Edit since you edited: Yes i'm messing around.
Okay cool. I thought so.
Learning the scales, their modes, and their relation to different chords is one of the things about guitar playing which I would recommend highest.
I used to be disinterested in the theory side but since I became a full time music student just over a year ago, I've grown to love it.
I never sat down to learn any scales, but I end up using some of them anyways. I'd like to do it some day though.
My problem has always been too little theory, I've played piano since I was 7 and I still can't read sheet music properly (that is, I know it in theory but I can't play anything just from looking at some sheet without thinking hard for every note :D)
I used to just watch my piano teacher play and then try to play the same, with him correcting me. So i learned everything by heart and developed a quite nice ear, but the fact that I suck at reading sheets keeps coming back at me :(
No?
but is one of your parents a dentist?
nice skills on that instrument :D
I will upload a mixtape this afternoon ;)
But if you wanna get the girls, learn sing-along songs and sing along with them. That owns! :P
Been playing guitar for ~7 years now i think, and piano 8 years prior to that ;)
