Am after a new wireless router/ adapter after getting sick and tired of both of them failing on me, cant leave torrents on for more than 5 minutes before one of them disconnects.
needs to beable to handle 3 connections at once, downloading and media sharing
currently got the netgear WPN824 and its a bag of wank. and no i cant have a wired connection; dad wont let me drill xD

You could try using two computers and upload/download stuff between them to isolate the router and see if you get any timeouts then?

1gbit don't make the response time any better, only the bandwidth. And as I can't see any way you can find use for more than 100mbit (well, I CAN think of lots of theoretical cases, but we're talking practical here) at home I can't really see what you're laughing at ^^
