Liverpool versus Man Utd

I think tactically we (Man Utd) were set up badly. I think we were going all out for a quick kill, which worked well for the first goal. But, as soon as Liverpool scored and Carrick got injured. The entire 'system' fails over.
I personally wouldn't have started Anderson. If the lineup were to stay the same, though. Then I would've changed the formation to a 4-1-3-2
Anderson is a winger. He can't really play any other position and I sat watching for 80 odd minutes, when he was taken off, what he had actually done. Why was he picked instead of Nani or Giggs? It made no sense.
I personally would've preferred a more reserved side, but one which would completely cut Liverpool down. Liverpool pushed and pushed all game but didn't do shit by themselves. Two United mistakes, two Liverpool goals. It really was that simple.
The difference though, was that Liverpool in the second half, chased and challenged everything. That's why I would've preferred seeing Anderson watching the match on Sky sports, or at the very least, from the subs bench. He isn't built to fight for balls over 90mins. Park, Scholes and Hargreaves are built for scrappy matches like this.
I would've went with something like (see below). Perhaps switch Nani with either Giggs or Hargreaves if he still wanted to be really aggressive. But the side is much more balanced.
As for Berbatov. It must have been completely frustrating to play from his perspective. You can count the number of balls he had on the floor on one hand. Knock long, foul, free kick. Knock long, foul, free kick. Rinse and repeat.
Boring game, Liverpool deserved it.
Evra - Ferdinard - Vidic - Brown
Anderson - Carrick - Scholes
Tevez - Berbatov - Rooney
