Laptop question

aloha guyz ;)

I am in need of your help, well not exactly a help but just an advice...
Today i bought a new laptop - i really like it <3,.. but the main problem is O/S Vista. Well it's not really a big problem,.. it's just that i am not sure if i would like to use it.
I won't use my laptop especially for e-gaming, but i will need it for all around (college/reallife stuff/work.. and ye maybe some new SP games).

So my question is.. What kind of O/S do you suggest me to use?
- VISTA:
if i will keep it,.. am I sure that all programs will work on it?
Are there still some bug's which are not fixed yet?
-XP:
if i will choose it,.. i am SURE that will work everything OK,.. but it's a bit old O/S.. and style it's already boring.. :D

You see.. i am still a bit unsure about it :D That's why i am asking for your suggestion's.. bcoz i really don't know how works O/S called Vista.

see ya!

I got vista on my laptop its shit, need to say yes to everything:|
XP isnt old imo
okay - i suggest:
windows xp professional sp2 + brico pack vista inspirat 2 :)
quite stable system + newish look

why ?
- playing games on laptop is shit so you will not use vista's ability to support directX 10+
- moreover im quite sure you'll never use more than 3gigs of RAM so another + for xp,
vista is (at least for me) a lil bit slower than xp,
- nice trendy look on vista ? - as i have said - bricopack will do it for you on XP...

in my opinion vista is just as same shit as windows millenium edition. that's why shortly after vistas release we heard about windows 7 works.
home edition version is enough

care about being boring or w/e - XP's better, cause everything is working
Vista, it is totally w/o any bugs and problems : x
If you want to use XP check for drivers first. Most laptops nowadays don't have (good) drivers for XP.
i switched from vista to xp on my laptop, it's much better
thinking about doing the same, but i heard you will get problems with drivers and updates and other things, is that true?

It is, I can't get good drivers for my videocard on XP. (I have both Vista and XP on my lappy)

i never had any problems, i could simply download the xp version of all my drivers at the HP website (i have an hp laptop, obviously)

take xp home edition
ubuntu tbh
trust me take xp
I use my laptop only for school. I don't play any games on it, just Office and some applications I need. Works fine on Vista for me.
openSUSE
using ubuntu on my notebook and Windows XP on my school notebook
