get the "other news"-box to the left side and add a reply-box to the right.(go to newest replys directly, so people dont have to go top pm's first)

An overall new design would be really nice :< Although your upgrades are nice indeed. But the more additions the bigger becomes the need for an overall new structure to not lose the clear view.

Some advices and new ideas:

- The 'write news' should be added seperately to the profile features. Nobody finds it under 'contribute'
- Other News should be placed below News.
- Cups should get a box just like the columns and articles. So the 'Other News' dont get flooded by them as it is now.
- Site filters could be added to the 'edit profile' menu so it lightens the profile features a bit
- A 'shortnews' or 'headlines' section would be cool, so you can just post the link to a news item and describe what the news is about in two sentences (of course admin monitored). Sometimes useful links within the journals get lost really fast.

well the whole point is that news and other news are completely different, one is admin approved main items and other is random user stuff a step above journals.

putting them stacked would make other news seem more official that it's supposed to be.

Everyone knows the site could do with somewhat of a redesign but I'm not going to be doing it :P

it'd be a big enough job that it's not something I'd do for free.

There have been suggestions of a calendar for cups to be added which I thought wasn't a bad idea, it just all comes down to free time I have or motivation to do it.
