I like the G9, it's very smooth and it feels good in the Hand, but besides that the Mousewheel of the G9 has no (how should i describe) "spaces", you can spin it and spin it, that sucks on that Mouse.

omfg had the g9 in my hands (in store) and it really sux, don't buy it, go and get the mx518 ora razer !

take a mouse that fits good in your hand and start praccing, owning with it! I hate discussion about laser vs optical since it are all so 0.001% differences if you know what I mean

The G9 fits perfectly for big hands, but if you have sorta small hands, you got to get use to it. It has also a lots of options! :O
