deathadder 1000hz

When I put it at 1000 hz and I check my hz it says something like:

5000-500-5500-450-5000-500 etc (sometimes it even goes up to around 7000hz)

is this normal, a bug, or a bug in the mouserate check program (mouserate.exe) or something else?

does any1 else have this?

no i dont have it
i use razer diamondback 3G np :P
I don't have that. But when I put it on 1000 Hz in the firmware, it appears to be just 500 Hz when I test it. I think it's limited by windows, because when I used the usbpatcher, 1000 Hz didn't work either.
Thou have been rewarded with the mouse of God.

Accept this gift and thou will pwn the shit out of all.
7000Hz !! :o
Avi or never happened ;D

Mine never did this, uber-responsive l33t mouse. Cherish it.
nice killing your sensor with that much hz :d
my mousehz is SO HIGH that its response time is actually negative
it shoots before you even think about shooting
Parent
actually it shoots before you click, you have to think about the target...

that's called etbot

Have you been fucking around with some other usbrate program?

I have the same thing when I use an other usbrate changer then the razer drivers. I fixed it by removing the program and reïnstalling the mouse + drivers. Can get stable 1000 now, I don't use it though 500 is enough for 900dpi (would recommend it with 1800dpi).

En bevalt quake4? :D
can I haz ur mice?
use dxtimer instead of mouserate. Check tutorial id=6 for a link.
so the mouserate program is just bugged ? I have the same problem , it cant reach the 1000 hz in mouserate but i have 1050 in dxtimer...
Parent
yea
dxtimer is the more accurate one
Parent
DA shouldnt die if i set it to 1 khz right ? because it should handle it.
Parent
its adverticed to do 1000hz
Parent
it can do 1000hz, but look at it from a technical pov.

125hz vs 500hz = 8ms vs 2 ms which is actually quiet a lot

500hz vs 1000hz = 2ms vs 1ms, so you are only gaining one ms, which isnt much relative to the average human reflex speed which is 200ms on average, 150ms for people with good reflexes. So 1000hz is 1ms faster, negligable, but this is assuming the mouse actually runs 1000hz.

Open dxtimer and move the mouse like you would do when you aim in ET. You will see that you wont hit the top hz, unless you are flicking or moving the mouse on both X and Y axis at the same time (lol ET :'). In the end, all you want is stable fps / stable connection / stable hz. Some people use 250hz or 500hz, just cause its more stable. I'm way too shit of an aimer, so dont ask me to judge :P Imho anything from 250 up to 1000 is fine, though there might be some truth in 'keeping your usbrate stable', rly dunno :P

You prolly just want to stick to whatever you got, unless you are still running ps/2 or usb@default rate.

Yes I think the same. I doubt it worths to change to 1000hz from 500hz.
Parent
it know says current : around 5000hz and average 1050 hz

But I think it's just a bug because average keeps around 1050 hz
Parent
when you get those large numbers isn't that when accel comes into play ?
who cares as long as your mouse works :P
hz, dpi and sens are overrated
500 hz pls!
I LOLd @ 5000hz IRL!
