Pc dvd/cd rom doesnt work

Ok so my problem is my dvd/cd rom doesnt read or is unable to read any of the disk's i put in
* Audio
* Movie's
* CoD4 *brandnew*
* bf2142
And so on.
I got it working a second ago by removin the cabel and put it back in, i got the popup screen of cod4 and than it got stuck.
My cd/dvd rom is called Samsung SD-612F
I searched it up @ hardware, and microsoft reported everything as working.. so i'm kinda clueless right now, maybe one of u can help me out here!
PS: once i put my disk in, it gives me cd icon right next to my mouse, i tries to load, but it doesnt. after bout 3/4 min im getting an error. Insert a disk or Empty disk.

- Get it to the store where you bought it
- Get it to some random repairshop
- Buy a new one

I want to go to the store as a last resort, if i bring it in2day ill prob get it back on monday. and ive got some stuff that needs to be done by sunday, and i dont have enuf free time atm to do it in 1 day
