The SC was out, Massa went into the pit. Somehow he got green light to go, before the fuel pump was pulled out of the car. So he took down some mechanics and pulled off the fuel line, drove through the entire pit lane with it, only to stop at the end and wait for the crew to come and pull it out.

In order for the green light to go on, the wheel guys and the fuel guy all need to hit buttons to say they're finished and clear.

It means either the system had a fault or the fuel guy hit his button to say he was done and had the fuel hose out.
