English doubt

This one goes to all the United Kingdom native speakers.

Can I say:

"I like to dance..."

or it is wrong and i can only say it like this:

"I like dancing..."

I appreciate your help.

"I like dancing" sounds better imo, but "I like to dance" isn't wrong as well.
lol
are you a little peon !
You can only use the verb before the subject in question marks, so maybe you are the little peon...
Parent
it was a question :(
you know like in the movie, there is a fat british woman :D
who come and say are you a little cute boy !
Parent
Then put a ? instead of a ! :D
Parent
but it suppose to be !... !

: )

good night :~>
Parent
"I like to dance" is perfectly fine... they sound better in different situations
"I like to dance" its fine
hop hop hoooop
good night
Both fine.

Interesting recently learnt weird aside! There is a specific order to adjectives when two or more appear before a noun. All native English speakers just seem to know how to do it.

(article)
number
judgement/attitude
size
length
height
age
colour
origin
material
purpose
(noun)

just tried it and got 100%. Seems to come with the experience.
It's kinda like that in German, but doesn't sound so weird most of the times.

It's nothing to do with experience. Though, experience would stop you making mistakes. It's to do with generative grammar (Google Chomsky if you're interested).
Parent
i got 100 aswell :p
Parent
Your score is 100%
Parent
got 95%

only missed the French green book one.

not too bad i reckon
Parent
hm some were really inbetween 2
Parent
Where did you learn that?
Parent
on crossfire!
Parent
I was being serious :(
Parent
silly me :e
Parent
too bad you didn't help at all. couldn't resist being a prick? unlucky.
Parent
ok, guess I tried to help you improve ur English even tho it wasn't related to ur question, but sure if don't want the assistance then I guess this journal is pretty pointless
Parent
Not that i don't want the assistance because i was like 99.9% sure that i could use both. I stated this question because my english "teacher" said i could only use the last sentence and not the 1st one because it was incorrect although i was pretty sure that i was correct. But she isn't a native speaker anyway and also a bad english professor as i can tell.
I know it is doubt, that one was only a writting lapse.
Parent
ok, sorry about that then, I'll remove the comment
Parent
Nice being a prick, prick.
Parent
Don't hi me prick.
Parent
OMG YOU PRICK
Parent
OMG DONT OMG HI ME YOU PRICK
Parent
OMG DON'T! OMG HI!
Parent
Now you've done it, get ready to get your ass kicked.

Parent
