best get your head down then

"best get your head down then"

What does it mean ? I am really confused, please explain it.
I said something "it took a lot of time to do.." and the answer was this.

I hope I hit the xfirejournal quality with mine, sorry.

Hmm let me trry to explain, if i say i have exams in 2 days and havent studied, my parents would say "better get your head down then" meaning you better cram all your studies
was thinking the same :O
Parent
lol you made me more confused
Parent
It can either mean "get some sleep" or "concentrate harder"

Or if you're saying it to a dirty slut it means "slob on my knob"
ok then what it means in this situation:

[9:14:19] person1: I made this, was 2 days work : D
[9:14:36] person2: best get your head down then
Parent
If you haven't finished completely yet they're telling you to hurry up.

If you have finished it seems they're congratulating you and suggesting you get some rest.
Parent
hmm it should be the 1st then

why english is that complicated (like this word should be "komplikétid")

Get your head down imo, is when you have a lot of work to do, and you have to "get your head down" to do it all (the position you adopt when writing)
you may use it on the battlefield when under heavy fire. captain obvious may say "best get your head down then" to avoid being hit.
im sure he's in the middle of a battlefield right now

im sure some crossfire's peons will help !
Nice journal (:
