VISTA Shite

So basically I play ET with my new computer (Q6600 @ 2.40 GHZ, Nvidia 8600GS, 3GB ram) and its stable at 125 FPS. But sometimes vista does something stupid and I get a little pop up that vista has changed the display driver when I run ET and it fucks up my FPS and its drops to a unstable 65/70. WTF is this shit and how do I stop it?!

Can I down grade to windows professional? Don't you just love Microsoft having to downgrade instead of upgrade!

i think its cos of graphic card :P not vista, try maybe atheredriver ?

Erm not alot just the FPS drop? And also the card is a NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS

i say reinstall drivers :P but its only my little opinion, so maybe wait for more coments ^^

yeah this suport 8400gs drivers, so just try it,first uninstal old driver,

uninstal vista, put the cd in its box, go to the shop where you bought it, smash it in the vendors face, hit him with your fist a few times, then walk around in the shop and search all vista cd's, now huddle them all together, get some fuel and make a nice fire, then search a windows xp professional cd, steal it, install it, play.

Problem solved.

I would downgrade it to msdos 3.0
best os so far, no graphic issues will appear.

Its just something about the settings you get, check out the settings in Vista.
Trye to reinstall Geforce/nvidia drivers.

Did you trye to press the pop up window and read what it says... details and stuff. Hard to help when so little is sayd.
