Ethernet Port prob

My ethernet ports are not working for some reason and I can't get them back on, the orange light at the back isn't even on..

Have reinstalled nForce drivers but didn't make a difference..

Dunno really what else to do.. Any ideas?

I need to get it working because im using a USB port for my modem but just got upgraded to 20mb so I need to switch from USB to an Ethernet cable..

Fixed thanks Kiewan unplugged power lead for few minutes and it worked again! Strange

Download Speed: 15909 kbps (1988.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1458 kbps (182.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

hmm, had it ones also with my onboard. i shutdown my pc for like 15min and tried again and it worked somehow, dont know if it will work for you aswell

look in the bios if its enabled, if it is and they dont light up the ethernet ports are dead

It is enabled in bios, but how could they be dead? as far as i can remember they worked before a format but iv already tried reinstalling drivers

just a clear observation

its turned on in bios, so they should be powered

plug in an ethernetcable(saying its not broken) should make the LEDs light up

not lighting up, so probably the ethernet ports dead


stuff like that can happen with certain system lockups during sleep mode (common with laptop usb ports) but never seen it on a pc, or at least couldnt say it was the cause

try format c, if that wont help, your hardware is fucked up :(
