They've been my favourite band for quite a while, was just wondering who else actually listens to them. I've only come across United Kingdom syK and i who listen to them, and i'm certain there's others! They're a trip hop/electronic/female vocalist group for those of you who don't know. So does anyone else listen to them?!

its just nowadays triphop hype. its started with massive attack and now those bands. i m not saying its bad or anything, they are just way overrated. this genre is overrated.

in what way is nu-metal overrated? where's the difference between nu-metal in the past and where it is now? you listen to the bands you like and leave out the ones you dislike.

when Limb Bizkit came with "The Chocolate Starfish..." and Linkin Park released Hybrid Theory, Crazy Town did their album it was around 1999-2003. the great period of numetal. Now Linkin Park is changed their genre, Crazy Town is dead, Limp Bizkit too. If u say numetal is as shining as were at those days u r lying. why cant u just admit it a genre can be overrated as a band as a man as everything else?

just because there are less bands in a genre or bands change their genre doesn't make a genre overrated. a genre is simply a style of music. the bands can be overrated, the genre can't.

and no, saying a genre is overrated because too many people appriciate "while it sucks" doesn't make it overrated. it makes you a hypocrite.

less bands in numetal means the genre is not attract so many people anymore = its not mainstream = no more hype

edit: i never said to trip hop its shit nor to any other genre.

less bands in nu metal only means less bands in nu metal, it doesn't mean less people listening or appriciating nu metal. and even if that was the case, how well it's rated depend on people's taste.

and furthermore, you just undermined your own argument. mainstream and hyped equals more people listening to it and more people rating it highly. if a genre could be overrated, "mainstream" would certainly be.

Please give me one GOOD reason why triphop (like massive attack, zero7, morcheeba) is overrated. And don't come up with "because its popular" or "because it's average music", because that's bullcrap.
