paradise lost

anyone read it? i'm somewhat interested in the story, my english teacher mentioned a lot of reference needed to understand it though, as it's difficult

won't be studying it, just reading - if i have to research to know what's going on though, i won't get it

if you've read the bible, or at least have knowledge of the storyline, it helps ^^ I have a mediocre understanding of it but I was still able to appreciate paradise. Glad you're reading some real literature instead of playing ET ^^

very rare to find a book that is difficult to understand. rudimentary knowledge of the bible is all that it is needed to figure out what it is trying to say. it seems to dwell to much on the little things, failing to answer the bigger picture that it touches upon. on the plus side it does leave you pondering it after you have finished reading it.
