I used to have a diamondback ~ 2-3 years ago but switched to another one for various reasons. Using my MX 518 for quite some time now and i'm getting bored of it, I find it too big, I don't really like the shape anymore and sometimes it feels like it just doesn't respond fast enough when I flick my mouse into another direction. (will break soon anyway if I remember the numerous journals correctly).
Anyone who made the switch from a mx 518 to a razer diamondback? And will it be suitable for me since I want to play with it @ 400 DPI. If not, I might aswell just buy a krait / salmosa since they are so cheap (30 EUR)
Shut your piehole if you don't know the slightest thing about mice, and stick your esreality benchmarks up your asses please.
If anybody else uses another razer mouse (boomslang, krait, lachesis, salmosa...), just fire away.
Thx in advance.

bought it after my razer broke and i think its a great mouse
but, mx510 > mx518 > copperhead.
if you want 400dpi out of all razer mice the only worth to buy are deathadder (bigger than mx518 so probably it's not for you), OLD diamondback (not 3g) and krait.
also you might like steelseries ikari optical(400/800/1600dpi), it looks a bit wider and bigger than mx518 but in fact is much lower, weights less and it's perfomance isnt worse

the polling rate can be 125/500/1000hz which means that you won't have problems with the response time
the mouse has loads of settings, such as X+Y axis adjustment.. also it doesn't feel sluggish like mx518 does sometimes
the 3G technology which deathadder has is also far better then the mx518 technology
take it from me, you won't make a mistake by buying DA..
yeah it's not bigger but it doesnt allow aiming with your wrist/fingers, only comfortable holding is with your whole palm/claw, while with mx518 both are possible, therefore DA doesnt let you perform accurate at high sens since wrist aiming is much more precise than aiming with your arm. but yeah, DA is slightly lighter and the cord is thinner
Deathadder is as big as a MX518, no more or less. Shapes a bit different though. More of a claw grip with the Deathadder. And really you won't be able to tell the difference in weight between a Deathadder and a MX518.
Mouse durability and longevity is all luck. My MX518s seem to have lasted the longest though. Current one I've got has lasted for almost 2 years. Before this one I had a G5 as did my brother, they both stopped working after a few months and both were plagued with deceleration and bugs at high speeds, although the mouse movement seemed smoother than the MX518. We both had MX518s before that lasted about a year. My brother recently had a Deathadder that lasted a few months but when it was working, it was smooth and didn't have any speed problems.
