MONITOR NOOB

Hello,
i need to know what resolution i have to set ingame, got a Philips 21" 201B ( old one :( ) . http://www.superwarehouse.com/images/products/philips_201B40.jpg

On windows i use a resolution of 1280x960, do i have to reduce it ?
and wich resolution ingame pls ?

doesnt matter on CRT, use something that lets you have about 120hz if you play with 125fps

use any resolution that you like as long as it provides enough hz (should be very close to your fps but don't use vsync)

I wouldn't go smaller than 800x600 though for ET

800x600
1024x768
1152x864
1280x960

should all work, just test them at their highest hz and see which you prefer

ok thanks mates, and it doesn't matter to set a resolution of 1280x960 on windows ?
