anyone using this audiocard to play ET? What settings are you using?
wtf is xfi cmss blabla and is steelseries siberia 'cmss' compatible?
I take it most ppl turn SVM off?

afaik every stereo headset is, at least it worked with my shitty 10€ headsets. It gives you a pretty good surround or at least makes you able to hear where players are instead of just a general direction.

i have the creative fatality card and u can switch between game mode or enteraining its doing all by himself but i can tell you the settings later when im back if u like
cmss is some stuff that creates some sort of surround sound even with 2 speakers ( or headset )

just use the cmss if you like it, no need for the crystallizer or eax stuff, you can also try turning up the quality to 96khz or so

I got CMSS-3DVirtual enabled, the CMSS-3DSurround disabled.
Crystalizer enabled at 75% of max.
SVM disabled. EAX effects enabled.

I have the X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI-E one.

EAX off
X-Fi CMSS-3D Casque 100% (-> "surround")
X-Fi Crystalizer 100%
EQ off

96 kHz / 24 bits

-> master volume @ 50%

where can i find the 96khz settings? i got a pci (not pci-e) creative xfi

Do you have the official drivers?

If yes, go to the principal window and click on the last option (nammed "Performance" in french), and you should be able to choose between 48 & 96 kHz for the quality of the sound and between 16 & 24 bits for the "depth".

If not, I've got no idea D:
