thinking about getting a ps3, what games people recommend? metal gear solid as good as some people say?

and any unbiased view on whats better between fifa and pes?

mgs is awesome, so is GTA4 and skate, altho after u finished the games, it gets boring. I don't even use my ps3 anymore x)

MGS4 is awesome, simply awesome.
I am biased as I have played all but one of its predecessors.

What genre of games are you mainly after?

Personal recommendations in no particular order...

Uncharted
Resistance FoM
Ratchet and Clank
MGS4
Battlefield : Bad Company
WarHawk - download

Upcoming release worth a look...

LBP
Killzone 2
Fallout 3
Resistance 2
Far Cry 2

(All personal opinion of course)



On top of that the machine is an awesome piece of kit.

I hate sports games so no idea on PES v FIFA

LBP you say, only took me a minute to realise your saying little big planet lol. That looks quite good, although I dont know if I'd buy it, looks like a game I'd much rather try before buy.

And im mostly into fps games so defintely gonna give resistance 2 a look ;o
