Hi guis!
I don't really get the ET sound working with pulseaudio.
I know, there are some workarounds which all require killing pulseaudio. as i'm using an USB headset i need pulseaudio to get TS/Vent working while playing et - so all these solutions won't work for me.
on the pulseaudio webpage there's a link to this site: http://nullkey.ath.cx/~stuff/et-sdl-sound/
i don't really want to get pbbanned, so could anyone over here tell me if pb allows this method?

switched to linux on my main sys just some days ago - fedora 9 - which got pulseaudio installed by default. have not yet managed to get vent working properly, same goes for ET.
anyway, as i got no soundcard which could manage multiple sound outputs, do you have any other soundserver suggestions?
If you want a better soundcard that is well supported just check in alsa list for hardware mixing...
most of the new cards supported w/o a problem.
and et-sdl-sound and pb have no problems.
but that doesn't fix the issue of ventrilo emulation, only being able to hear one person at a time, which is unacceptable.
and you will hear everyone... the only down side is that the voice is a little bit hallow.
but thats an old wine bug.
it's just a tool like say the direct input tool that caused a few bans on windows recently, which were removed, i guess if et-sdl-sound did cause false positives the bans would be lifted
But good luck setting up ts/vent, I still can't get it to work :D
