logitech mouses

ye i know this may be old
but, whats the best logitech? mx518,g5,g9? going to buy one of these, but cant decide which one.
my current saitek dies atm, sometimes freezing for some seconds or going to the right side if i strafe to the left :-(
i dont want a razer, tried at a friend and it felt ugly for me. this logitech thingies feel similiar to my current mouse.
so just say, which one should i buy? i prefer mx518 because of the price, but i also heard it isnt that stable. and which mousepad should i use in connection?

only mouse to come close = MX518
The only difference between MX510 and MX518 are the shape and setpoints.

I think it was the first special english word I learned back in 1998 or so
As far as I know you might as well say mouses.
Parent

Parent
I learned something new, oh wait .. learnt :p Both good right?
Parent
I guess learnt is right as I think learned is an adjective.
Parent
learnt is best, but learned wont be bad.
Although it's an adjective.

mice is the only one btw.

QuoteIn computing, a mouse (plural mice, mouse devices, or mouses) is a pointing device that functions by detecting two-dimensional motion relative to its supporting surface.

have the mx518 with a steelpad 5L. works fine.
have the mx518 with a RRAZER eXactMat. works fine.
Based on the last 156 mouse journals I have to say: mx518.
mx518 is technically superior compared to g5 and g9. both G5 and G9 are laser and dont track well at higher speeds. They also suffer from high liftoff distances, meaning your crosshair will shake and move when lifting your mouse. There is no reason to buy g9 unless you prefer the crappy shape and the sensor not being in the middle.

Ofcourse most of the negative aspects of G series are only noticable to med and low sensers, but seeing they are way more expensive then mx518, there really is no point in buying a technically inferior product.
i hoped to read some expert comment like that. thx
Parent
could as well have checked one of the zillion journals before this one about mice :')
Parent
i want to entertain crossfire so why should i use search :)
Parent
g5 laser isnt in the center aswell, personally i cant think of any reason why the laser not being in the center can effect anything
Parent
