When you double-click the exe to start the patch, leave the program untouched. After approx 7-8 minutes mine unfroze, and I patched my game. A couple of the guys on my vent had the same issue and waited slightly less time, but eventually, the program becomes responsive again.
However, there is an issue for some that once you have installed the patch, the game itself no longer loads, at all. While this wasn't a problem for myself, it has been for many people I know. No fix for this is known yet afaik.
it's normal that evrything is so slow on pes 09 compared to fifa 09? when u pass the ball it takes ages untill he has stopped the ball turned around run etc..that fucking sux, if you cant change that than fifa 09 > pes 09 for sure
PES 2009 is slower than 08 for sure, but it's a much better game. It's true that Fifa is making great strides and according to the gaming press, is a much more complete football sim this year.
There will be things about each game that rival fans dislike, if the passing is that for you then that won't change, so enjoy fifa =)
well i'm not a fan of only fifa or pes, i played pes 2008 this year instead of fifa but when i tryed fifa 09 and after that pes 09 i was shocked how long a single offensive takes compared to fifa... else the movement and ball control on pes is way better..but isnt there something like gameplay-speed on fifa or something :(

i think we were evenly matched without lag , but hey what can ya do ;)
