Audio Editing

Hey,

I recorded a song (Hani - Wait Forever) which was on the radio (cuz it's not possible to download atm). Then I converted the captured audio with 48000 hz (sounds fucked up) and now I would like to change it to 44100 hz which sounds normal. Is it possible to fix this with a normal audio editor or what do I have to do? If it's possible to change it in Sony Vegas, then I would prefer that.

Thanks in advance!

well, I recorded a song played on a webradio. after one has recorded, the recording software asks for which format one wishes. so I chose 320 bits and 48000 hz instead of 320 bits and 44100 hz. and now I want to change it.

Changing it to anything else is just going to make it worse. You can't convert a lossy format to another lossy format without losing even more quality.

I dont get it :o

why would fix anything if you change something from higher to lower ?

anyway if you want to do that ( i think its poinless) then go render it in vegas as mp3, select some codec too..
it is already a mp3. before this incident I didn't either now that it made a big difference between 48000 hz and 44100 hz, but there is a big one. so I recorded several audio clips and compared them with different hz levels. the one with 44100 hz sounded normally, but the higher level clip had a "smurf-like voice" which sounded high and too fast.

you wont fix it i am afraid, if there is a noise you need something more special than recopressing.. maybe Audiobooth has something for it, dunno really
