Ecomonics key term

Hiho,

Does anyone know the term used to describe a consumer that always wants to buy the latest technology or be the first to own new technology? Any help is appreciated as I have mental block at the moment and cant think of it.

Much love!

It's innovator, not early adopter :)

You have innovators, early adopters, early majority, late majority and laggards.
Parent
Urghh i know it but i cant think of it 8(

pioneer if I remember correctly, from like 3 years ago :P

The correct term for people who always wants the newest innovations is innovators, simple. These are 2.5% of the population. We also got early adopters, early majority, late majority and laggards.

This is from Kotler, you cant be more correct than Kotler.
i didnt know they had laggers in ecomonics too 8)
Funnily enough they are also Polish.

would think about ' a trendwatcher' but guess that term is more refered to clothes etc.. dunno about technology
i'd go for self-obsessed dickhead :(
if you are talking about marketing (product policy) i would think of Roger's diffusion theory of innovations:
innovators & early adopters are the first to buy a new tech-product
