cod5 black screen

i just keep getting a black screen..i updated my GPU and dx etc...now i hear the sounds but have a black screen...anybody with a fix for this gets cookies and milk at cc5

i have the same! :'( alltho i don't have nerves to wait for the sounds to pop in! :D try re-install?

its starting but not intantly... start the game in safe mode and wait - it will start in 2 min or smth, then u can start it normally. Dunno what the problem is :x

after a matter if seconds in safe mode i hear the sounds etc..kinda anoying..thanks for the help..i think another reinstall might do the trick hmm!

no, reinstall wont help, many ppl have this shit, u need to wait till its starts... :x

try to remove u mp_config also, it might help, but im not sure.

i waited 10 mins and all i got was sounds and no visual :(...stupid beta program!...ill try a reinstall and see wat happens then :(..thans rivz for the help ..ill let u kno if i get it working

well my friend start it and went off for dinner - when he come back in15-20 min its starts :D
u tryed to delete mp_config?

Black Screen

[1] Buy a New Graphics Card
[2] When you get a Black Screen it means you got a too bad / too old gfx card, which can not play Call of Duty 5: World at War. It needs to have SM 3.0 Support.

lulz, go control panel -> hardware & sound -> sound -> choose speakers -> advanced -> set default format to "24 Bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)" (FOR VISTA)

also make sure you got latest directx.

Cod5-beta doesnt work for me neither..

i got the safe-mod windows and then i press NO then i can see the cod5 logo and then a black screen and then the game turns off and get "send not" send fault-report" windows :<

Remove the Shader 2.0 command from the cfg.
