I'm sorry to keep posting journals about it but, what will Obama bring to the table as president?
What was his key stands?

In case you are going to say "no pic no proof" then : http://i33.tinypic.com/wilrie.png
Embolden the one you should worry about.
* Withdraw all combat troops from Iraq within 16 months and keep no permanent bases in the country (so that the ppl of iraq continue killing of eachother as was the case the last time we left)
* Establish a clear goal of eliminating all nuclear weapons across the globe (so that we are the only ones that have them)
* Close the Guantanamo Bay detention center (and build a new secret one next to area 51)
* Double US aid to cut extreme poverty in half by 2015 and accelerate the fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculoses and Malaria (by inventing another killer-virus that we'll test out through the W.H.O. in a couple regions in the world)
* Open diplomatic talks with countries like Iran and Syria, to pursue peaceful resolution of tensions (and make it possible to build pipelines through iran to our tucked away corporates already established in several asian countries)
* De-politicize military intelligence to avoid ever repeating the kind of manipulation that led the US into Iraq (and into iran instead)
* Launch a major diplomatic effort to stop the killings in Darfur (cuz frankly we don't have any money left to do it ourselves like we "did in iraq")
* Only negotiate new trade agreements that contain labor and environmental protections (unless it involves oil)
* Invest $150 billion over ten years to support renewable energy and get 1 million plug-in electric cars on the road by 2015 (and ignore the fact that the waste of a used up battery in a prius for instance is worse than all the carbon emissions it would generate by driving on conventional fuel)
Ok ok the above is just jokes and I'm not saying I would've voted for McCain cuz that guy is even worse, but don't be fooled. US Presidential Elections are a choice of the lesser evil. Nothing more nothing less. Obama is pro capital punishment, against gay-mariage and wants to send more troops to Afghanistan but that's just stuff that most europeans would not think Obama supports.
negotiating a newtreaty - oh please, what's the point after they just completely ignored the the kyoto treaty.
double us aid - never going to happen in a million years

Glad I'm no amerifag \o
Anyway, now I'm closely watching the Minnesota senate result between Al Franken and Norm Coleman. So far its:
Coleman (Incumbent): 1,210,790 - 42%
Franken: 1,210,028 - 42%
It'd be interesting to see Bill O'Reilly's reaction if Franken won.
