mousepad for Logitech G5?

I'm going to wish me some new mousepad instead of this desk protection stuff i got now - but is it nessesary? will it react better with a quality mousepad from razer or something? or what you advíce me to buy or not to buy?

fine. I had a normal mousepad before. It is much faster and easier to aim now.
