what to use?

i am in need of an anti-virus program.

i hear some pretty good stuff about:
- kaspersky
- avast
- antivir

any recommandations?

edit: and is it possible to get these for free?? links plz

both kaspersky and avast are good... beware of the chinese!

I personally really enjoy BitDefender. But anyway anti-virus/firewall aren't really useful if you ain't a peon.

i had avast, but it was free for 30-60 days, after that i downloaded avira, both was enough good

Avast? Afaik Avast is even more crappy av than AVG.. and actually norton isnt that bad too except u cant close residental protection.. but for viruss search and then uninstall its great
