playing now 10 hours or something and done 1 quest. I just keep walking around seeing everything. It's fun but a bit slow though, the walking etc.

Well... that's one way going about it. Not the wisest choice.

Main quest can be completed in 10 hours, level 20 can be achieved in 15 hours without exp perk. Doing all quests in the wasteland would take you about +20hours due the traveling.
