boot.com isn't a valid application

I have the exact same problem, I can't do what the other guy wrote because I don't have an external drive.
How can I solve this problem without an external drive? :'(

Use floppy discs.

basically you do it on external drives to make sure the virus is not on them, no external drives no need to do it. It should be gone now if you followed the first instructions.
