MY NEW PC.

Ok guys so I finally convinced my parents to buy me a new pc :)!

This is what it looks like atm:
1 Western Digital 320GB-KS 16MB SATA300 7200RPM
2 Antec P182 Black Performance Case
3 Corsair HX620 Power Supply Advanced Modular Power (HX620W)
4 Asus EAH4870X2 Htdi 2G 2048MB GDDR5 PCI Express

6 Asus P5Q PRO DDR2 Socket 775 Intel® P45
7 Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 45NM 2.83 Socket 775 Boxed
8 Corsair Twinx DDR2 4096MB PC6400 XMS2 (2X2048MB)
9 LG GGW-H20L Zwart S-ATA 6X BLU-RAY BR-RW
10 Samsung T220HD 22 Inch Wide LCD Screen

Budget without screen should be around 1600€.

Now I still have some questions:
1. at 7 I chose for the quad core but now the intel i7 has been released. Should I get that one or isn't it worth the money?! How much does it cost anyway? my budget shouldn't get over 1600€

3. at 10 I chose for the T220 HD but apparently only 24" can play FULL HD movies. But isn't 24" too big for gaming?

4.I also saw there is a T220P Full HD edition, is it the same screen with just another look?

i would never get a pc like these and not coz my parents are poor or anything. its because its for hardcore gaming and my parents will never understand why its good for me. no critics, nice pc, gl!

yeah I prefer buying everything from 1 shop. When something's broken then it's simple to get it fixed since the shop is also close to where I live :)

rly? ah fuck than I also have to do that :) I didn't order him yet! I'm still setting this specs at a few forums to get some criticism from alot of guys. Hmm I suppose I should take XP since I only hear bad things about Vista? But I also heard that you cannot use more than 3GB Ram on XP or smth like that?

dont know that about the ram but i go mine orderd in separate parts :) and normally with xp they build it for you i heard :)

I payed half of your budget and I can play all new games at 1280 with maximum details 4x AA and 8x AF

now isn't that awesome?

I haven't enabled the fps-meter but everything feels smooth and fine, no juddering. playing games like dead space, race driver grid, mass effect, far cry 2 and cod 5

yeah I see alot of people saying that :) I think i'll have to make a new "compilation" maybe. but I wanna be sure that I can use the pc for as long as possible

i know a lot about pc's :>

more core doesnt mean more peformance. as i said especially for games, core2duo are better than quadcore atm.

Core i7 not worth money for games. Ability to display full HD (as it should be displayed) isn't bound to monitor size but it's resolution. On T220HD 1080p content will be scaled down (res 1680x1050), but on T220P it'll work as it should (res 1920x1200).

nice setup, stop with i7! if you want to buy urself a new PC do it now or maybe wait a week or two (at least here i7 isn't avi yet). I bet prices will drop a bit. And bout mobo i'd go for Deluxe

i dont get why people get a quadcore... dualcore has the best support now a days. Don't give comments likel its for the future! then you should buy a EightCore, yes they are also released (but no mobo yet:(( )
