Punkbuster Blue Screen

I've been getting blue screens all the time with something about punkbuster.sys.
Is there any fix for this? I know there have been complaints before but they never affected me so I never read them, and in amongst all the other punkbuster problems i cant find this specific problem any more.
If there's no fix, can't we go back to some older stabler version of PB? I don't know the people who run it, but to leave it the way it is knowing it's becoming such a fucked up buggy piece of software I'd of thought they'd of done something about it by now :*(
