The info you're giving simply isn't enough...

- How long is he intending to use it?
- For what purpose?
- Games? What sort of games..?
first question is very retarded and has nothing to do with the topic, gg.

Oh yeah, so if you buy a new PC you shouldn't even wonder on how long you're intending to use it. Idiot.
Parent
oh yeah? and how THIS has influence on what hardware to get IF THE BUDGET IS 450 euros?
Parent
If he's planning on using it lets say ~ 2 years, he could easily buy himself a dual core. If he's planning on using it as long as he can (4-5 years) he could go for hardware that is more recent, a quadcore CPU for example since quadcore is more "future based".
Parent
if you buy a pc for 6 years ahead then you're retarded, gg.
Parent
Seems like you ran out of arguments, oh well... you better actually know something about hardware before you start flaming people since you have no idea what I'm talking about.
Parent
i DO know what you're talkign about, you're "thinking ahead" cuz in the "future" software will have better support for multi-core processors plz...
it all depends on the uses and not "for how long you want the PC", his "super quad core cpu" will sux in a few years anyway so dont see the point...
its like having a PIII nowadays...
Parent
And he will better off since if he would have bought a dual he, it would be even more outdated? Wouldn't it?
Parent
he wont feel the difference
Parent
quadcore with 450 euro ............. ken de prijzen nie ma 450 is fckin weinig xd om dna al in de toekomst te kijken
Parent
Retarded to buy quad on that budget, so your first question is indeed retarded.

hd4850, E8400, asus P5Q pro, random memory,
Asus EAH4850, E8400, Asus P5E Deluxe, 2Go DDR2 Corsair XMS2

480€ (in Switzerland)
Anyn known brand PC6400 DDR2 will do just fine. Otherwise good suggestion. For motherboard Asus P5Q should do just fine too. I doubt he needs CrossFire capabilities.
Parent
