Last night there was another edition of ILT, one of the biggest dance events in the world. I went together with a mate and it was pretty awesome. For those who don't know the concept : It's not a normal concert, there are 6 rooms so you always have the choice between 6 arists at any given time. This was my road to los gehen:

I saw the last part of the yellow room with hawtin & co and it was AMAZING.

too bad for umek, he celebrated his 15 year anniversary few weeks before and as far as i heard it was one hell of an evening. Clarke rocked the shit out of almost everyone few years ago with his techno style but probably he is on minimalistic grooves now. Will take a look for his sets later :D

Actually I was sarcastic, didn't know that. I listen to their livesets if I find them, but mostly they're without tracklists and I don't know their stuff enough to hear if they only spin their own material.

Would be quite surprising though, not that many DJ's that do that.

P.S.: Their Essential Mix from last year was made with only a minimum of their own work.

Saw the first two last year and they were insane indeed, we tried to go to underworld but the doors were closed ( room was full ). Though I don't regret it, the ones we went to instead were seriously incredicle as well^^

(We didn't wanna go to Lektroluv since we saw him a lot already, and we chose someone else above Boys Noize because we had seen him already but I forgot who :P)

As much as I like music and want the DJ's and bands to make money, I don't buy cd's normally :P It's always a risk so I only do it when I'm 100 % sure that I'll get something good in return. ( Justice is a bit too new imo, I know that they've been around for quite some time now but I mean in number of albums made, if you understand this incoherent explanation :P )

Half of the artists there are not even techno, it 's just named that way because it started out as a techno event and throughout the years the name became such a trademark that they didn't change it anymore.

And if I Love Techno sucks then I wonder why there are 35 000 people there each year from all over the world.

There are two commercial rooms and 3 non-commercials rooms, of course now and then they get mixed up a bit. If you don't like elekctro you shouldn't judge on an event which mainly hosts electro since your opinion is subjective thus so it equals shit.

I'd like to have a poll here on crossfire with the question who knows more than one DJ of this list. And to think that in this list I'm only putting names of DJ's I myself went to, there are way more unknown DJ's at I Love Techno.

And perhaps your friends should consider getting the fuck out of these events then, I'm not saying everyone should like this music but if you do, then you love I Love Techno.

Didn't know K&L were known because I never heard of them. And I don't only go to these commercialized events but turn it and twist all you like, I love Techno is one of the better events in the world, whether it's attended by commercialized DJ's and party people or not. Events that I also went to this year were Liberty black and Bassleader, and I'm planning on going to Liberty White in December. ( Though Bassleader is also quite known. )
