Im missing

That old feeling while playing et... my et was smoother at my old pc (with a nvidia fx 5200) that nowadays... Pb is lagging this nice game :< Fps moving between 10 and 125 (125 seems like 30 fps sometimes)... everyone is lagging(breaks).

Same here, 3 Ghz Dualcore + DDR3 512mb graphic card + 1 GB DDR2 ram should be really enough for this old crap game ...

I have the same - usually a reboot fixes it, only for a while though :(

PS: I'm running on Core2Duo E6700 and Nvidia 8800 GTX - one might think this is sufficient for a game like ET, but doesn't look like it :P

Makes no sense to play a old game like this.. because this game lags at every fucking pc.. even if you have a 50000 core + 500000gb ram :\

I remember how great ET was when I started playing 2 years ago. I never had any lag problems, always stable 125 fps, even on 50 slot publics with a shitty 2.4Ghz overclock on an AMD 3000+. Also used to play wars with 200fps rock stable before they changed it.

It's gotten more unplayable every month. Atm I haven't played for about 2-3 weeks and I'm probably not going to after reading all these journals. I'm sick of putting in so much time and money for hardware to try to compensate for their piece of shit software.

I used to aswell, kinda still do, but somehow ever since I played some americans on american server(200ping) who couldnt aim but instead proned whenever they saw me, it was getting rather frustrating when all the bullets went trough + I had to take so much advance for my own proning.
