Good job punkbuster!

PunkBuster has yet again proven they can make shit happen if they want to! Have you noticed yet? If you use injected cheats on a server where latest pb update is, you get "corrupted file / memory". This takes out almost every cheat in ET, if people would just update their servers. Pity for those rshook owners who wasted 120€.

Oh and this info came from trustworthy cheat coder.

EDIT: THIS DOESN'T AFFECT LINUX

If they detected the file you sent themspecifically then they would almost certainly label it properly as a cheat, instead of calling it "corrupted file / memory". It's nice that this does prevent some cheats, but it would of course be even better if it could be used to ban them.

Indeed, but this newest update is only thing so far that stops people from using the cheat. My point was pretty much that they wont do anything for the subject unless the hack has spread far enough to bust many people.

Maybe they found something against cheaters, but they also fucked up the gameplay.
pings raised from 32 to 89 and fps wont go higher then 85.

Yes, less packets gives higher ping.
40 packets gave me 16 ping and 100 packets gives me 32 ping.

For me it seems like PB has made some great improvements with detecting cheats =). It doesn't detect this nexus as multihack, but yes, you get kicked for corrupted file/memory. Since yesterday same thing occurs with many other hacks too which supposed to be undetected.

Actually rsHook hasn't been affected at all from what i heard ;) And the currupt file/memory could also be a virus as well and the new pb version don't like it, so many people have lives and just want drama to talk about, how motherfucking sad :D
