Kill yourself
are you trying to install XP from boot (start up) or by auto launch on desktop?
from boot. im sure all the bios settings are correct because i let my new hd be placed at a store(they did it for me, for money)

did they try your HD with another computer or yours?
Parent
with mine. atm there is nothing on the hdd. So i boot it into the windows XP installation. But if i have to point a device, where to install windows XP, i cant find my HDD in there.

late reply :E - hmm can you see any hard drives when your selecting to install XP?
Parent
yeah, i can see my external when i plugged it in. I found some solutions tbh.
But its rly hard to fix the problem. I need to install my sata drivers. The easiest way is to install it with a floppy but i dont have one, and they dont sell usb extern floppy's anyomore. Now i need to put windows XP + satadrivers on 1 cd. But this is quite hard.

ah damn, unlucky mate.. hope it all goes well!

Try to enable IDE emulation in bios if you have a SATA hard disk. Old versions of XP have this problem.
where can i find the IDE emulation, in the bios.. i couldnt find it. after some research

What motherboard do you have?

Download the proper sata drivers and load them with F6 during start.
Or do what loctarar said.
