hmmmm which laptop?

Okay its that time of year again :)

New apple notebook or windows based laptop. Suggestions welcome and any online store please link

Importing is actually a better option for me atm as i live in Thailand and the Baht is very strong against most other currencies (yen unchanged). UK would be the best option as the pound is looking dodgy (51) which when i arrived here 1 year ago was at 75 :O

Anyways ill sit and wait for options as its raining cats and dogs here :(

depends on what your doing.
If you just want to chill and live a normal life about 10k baht a month (thats including 1 month rent of house) Which translates into about 200 pounds

If your wanting to get pissed as fuck everynight and take girls from bars then it could turn out expensive

Jobs for "Farang" are easy enough to come by but dont expect to earn money like you would in the west unless you have your own business (which i do)

Windows XP based or else Ubuntu.

Dunno what kind of type laptop you are looking for, so useless to post any links.
Some nice brands to look at are ASUS, HP, and Acer. GL !

i´m thinkiung about to replace my pc with a laptop

pc:

amd athlon 64 x2 6000+
geforce 8800gts 512mb
2gb ram

.. cann play ET with 600fps and cod4 with 80-100 or smth

i dont rly know if the notebook could replace that pc (more ram but gfx isn´t that good)..
will make a journal now. if u wanna answer me, reply in journal plz :P

I run cod4 way better on it than ET , don't ask me why , but on my dell xps , I get a constant 125 fps ;)

I'm waiting to upgrade my laptop at the moment. I'm waiting on Dell to put the 9 series cards in their laptops and a good solid state hardrive nearing 200gb. I'd recommend u do the same!

Is your move to asia permanent? I thought you were just going for a year or so.

Im here untill at least september 09 with a trip to Japan penned in for april. I went back to the UK for a couple of weeks in May but i found that i missed the life out here too much so i returned to Koh Samui. If your ever in the area..... :)
